AntiVirus is one solution for your computer you cannot do without, unfortunately
as you download applications and emails from the internet they may contain viruses
and malicious code that can be executed on your computer. Sometimes however
for these virus applications to actually do any damage to your computer you have
to physically run/execute them on your computer, otherwise they just lay dormant
on your computer and pose no risk other than if at some point you accidently
run them. Removal of a virus once it has been executed on your system can sometimes be a complicated process, although many times it is as simple as running a virus scanner against your machine and removing the infected files. Sometimes trying to do anything like running a virus scanner or installation of one after your machine has been infected by a virus can be a challenging task in itself. The best defense unfortunately to prevent this in the first place is to purchase a virus scanner software application and unfortunately pay the year update fees associated it with. The other solution is to find a free virus scanner online and use one of them. There are several applications on the internet however that provide free virus scans and removals. We know of only a few applications that actually work in this respect, one is a installation of a full virus scanner made by Grisoft and also a free online scanner available from Trend Micro. Trend Micro has a full functioning Virus Scanner that works over the Internet and scans/removes viruses from your computer system, however while this does work very well it doesn't completely remove all viruses especially those that are memory resident on boot up and unable to be removed by the online scanner. However this does work very well for quick a fix if you are unable to install a virus scanner after being infected by a virus. |
